Peter and Selma Thomas are presently serving in Fortaleza, Brazil, a city of almost three million, with a focus on urban missions. They are the directors of a project called "My Father's House - Urban Missions" where they work in the rescue and restoration of street children through a downtown urban missions center and a residential restoration farm for boys. They also work in the city center slum and the city's youth prisons addressing questions of drug addiction, abuse, family breakdowns and child prostitution. Peter and Selma have one child, Danny William (born 2004). They were first connected with CrossPoint (then known as First Baptist) in the early 80s when Peter's father interned with Pastor Yaeger, and Peter was a student at Downey High School.
